Beginner Basics to Paganism

Alright, so you're interested, you want to take the plunge and get to know more about this stuff, hearing terms like "Wicca" or "Neo-Pagan" being tossed around to the point that it's piqued your curiosity. In essence: What exactly is Paganism?
Paganism is, by definition, a religion other than one of the main world religions specifically a non-Christian or pre-Christian religion. That definition is pretty generalized in my personal opinion, but it works all the same when you're just getting a basic idea. Paganism is an umbrella term for a multitude of religions, some old, some new, but all different and it's been slowly becoming more popular as time marches on.
Many people initially associate Paganism with a more nature-based religion and that's typically due to the fact that a lot of Pagan holidays are focused on the change of seasons, and of course, taking care of the planet you live on is pretty darn important if you ask me; however the belief system covers more than just nature. It is your own personal spiritual path, one in which you will alone travel on.

That isn't to say that you won't meet others with similar beliefs and it's good to get inspiration from those who are more experienced than you. There are books, websites, Facebook pages and even local communities available that will allow people to draw information from and you will never, ever, stop learning your path. It's always important to remember that.
Regardless, as time goes on all the information you absorb will eventually start to make sense, it just takes time and patience. You don't even have to be inducted into a special group to call yourself a Pagan, you just need to take the first step.

This week has been fairly hectic, so I greatly apologize for not having a few more posts out than what I already have. Technology seems to have it in for me. Anyways I do hope you all enjoyed this post and I will see you all on Sunday! Bright blessings and have a good rest of your week!
